Private housing advice:
Finding a place to live in privately rented accommodation
Most LSE students live in privately rented housing and commute to the School every day. In order to find somewhere to live, you should come to London before the beginning of the academic session. We would advise you to allow a minimum of two weeks to search for accommodation (students with children should allow longer).
LSE Studentpad is our online private housing database. Registration is free, and you can search for suitable properties and contact landlords directly: LSE Studentpad
|We've also put a guide together to get you started: Finding private housing
Moving into halls after renting privately
Are you living in privately rented accommodation, and think that hall accommodation would be more suitable for you? Contact us for via the contact box on the left, or check our list of : Current vacant rooms in LSE halls of residence.
Late summer temporary accommodation
From mid August until the end of September, a number of places in halls is offered on a short term basis. Staying in halls while searching for a place to rent is how a lot of students find their housing each year. It's also an opportunity to meet other students with whom you can start a flat share.
